Creating a proposal in MyProposal takes less than two minutes. This article walks you through each step from the dashboard all the way to sending.
Step 1, Click "New proposal"
From the Proposals page (or the Home dashboard), click the purple New proposal button in the top-right corner. A modal appears.
Step 2, Choose a starting point
The first screen of the wizard lets you pick a template. You have two tabs:
- My templates, templates you've saved from previous proposals.
- Starter templates, 8 professionally written proposals covering Agency, Studio, Freelance, Consulting, and SaaS engagements.
- Blank proposal, a completely empty canvas if you prefer to write from scratch.
If you're new, start with a Starter template closest to your engagement type. You can rewrite every word, the value is the structure.
Step 3, Enter client details (optional)
The second step asks for a proposal title, client name, and client email. All three are optional at this stage, you can fill them in later from the editor.
Step 4, Watch it build
Hit Create & open editor and MyProposal creates the proposal, applies your brand kit, and opens the editor. If you used a starter template, your pricing section is already seeded with realistic line items.
What's next?
- Click any section on the canvas to edit it in the inspector panel on the right.
- Add or remove line items in the Investment section.
- Hit Send when you're ready to share with your client.
