Building your pricing section

Add one-time fees, monthly retainers, and optional line items, totals update live.

The Investment section of your proposal is where you specify what you're charging. MyProposal supports three pricing types and optional add-ons.

Adding a line item

Click in the Investment section on the canvas, then click + Add item. A new row appears with fields for name, description, quantity, unit, and price.

Pricing types

  • One-time, a flat fee billed once (discovery, design, build).
  • Monthly, a recurring fee shown as ×/mo (retainers, subscriptions).
  • Recurring, same as monthly but labelled differently for flexibility.

Required vs. optional items

Toggle the Required switch on each line item. Optional items are shown with a checkbox your client can toggle on the live proposal, the total updates live when they add or remove them.

Note

Optional items are a great way to surface upsells without making the base price feel high. "Add photography direction (+$4,500)" is a much softer ask than quoting it upfront.

Auto-save

Line item changes auto-save 800ms after your last edit. You'll see a "Saved" indicator next to the Investment heading.
